Design Craft Floor Lamps - First, let's define classic floor lamp. Upon the floor as opposed to resting on a table, the wall or the ceiling, a floor lamp normally rests naturally. The typical definition of an antique means something from a bygone era. This sets the term outside the legal arena and into common use.
More and more individuals are learning how to appreciate the quality and styling of classic floor lamps notably as most of the ones being created now are modeled plastic and literally made to be thrown away. All their lamps were made by floor lamp makers from the turn of the century from heavy metals like cast iron, cast, steel and brass zinc occasionally blended with onyx marble, glass and stone. These classic floor lamps are regularly restored by our lamp store for resale along with for our customers' own use.
Function, attractiveness, and high quality were powerful influences on the makers of classic floor lamps. Many people are aware of their excellent quality and attractiveness but completely surprised about technical characteristics and the highly developed practical. There are too many examples but I will mention a couple of the ones that are more significant.
As though this weren't sufficient, the central top outlet is encased in a large metal cup which holds a white waffle patterned glass bowl that reflects light up to bounce off the ceiling. A cloth or silk shade (also called JUNIOR shadiness) rests upon the glass reflector bowl to reflect light downward for reading. One arm light can provide a night light that is simple or at its brightest setting, it may light up a complete room. It had been designed and made and there is no versatile or brighter lamp lamp available anywhere now almost 100 years ago!
